What you need to know about custom travel arrangements
Customizing a vacation can require a considerable amount of time, checking availability, and lining up all the components just right, making sure everything fits together properly. A lot of work and expertise goes into setting up custom travel arrangements, and customers may change their mind during the planning process.
For custom travel arrangements we assess a non-refundable planning fee of $100 per person, the cost of which is usually applied to the cost of your trip. This planning fee helps offset the professional time we put into researching and arranging your trip request, should it not be accepted or is cancelled.
Booking Your Customized Tour
To arrange your custom trip, our travel agents need to identify:
- when and where you plan to travel, or what ideas you are considering (we're happy to discuss options if you haven't decided)
- from what city you wish to fly (if you need airfare),
- what type of hotels or resorts you may enjoy (3-star to 5-star, homes or villas, etc)
- whether you want more premium (best available) rooms or suites, or more standard rooms
- whether you would like a self-drive car included
- whether you would like a private car with driver for transport or any sightseeing
- if there are any additional excursions or sightseeing you may enjoy (which our travel experts can help you identify).
